Carbon, ceramic and nano ceramic film for Prior Lake drivers, installed at our shop in Savage, about ten minutes up County Road 21. Lifetime warranty on the film.
Prior Lake is a lake town, and lake towns have a specific vehicle problem. Half the driveways here have something that tows, and those trucks and SUVs spend the whole summer parked at a launch, at a lot, or in the sun outside somebody’s place on the water with no shade anywhere near them.
A truck that sits at the ramp for six hours on a Saturday in July gets genuinely hot inside. Then you load wet people into it. That’s the single most common reason a Prior Lake customer calls us, and it is why ceramic outsells carbon here by a wide margin, even though carbon is cheaper.
The second reason is what the rear glass is already doing. Most trucks and larger SUVs come out of the factory with dark rear glass, and people assume that’s film. It isn’t, it’s smoked glass, dyed during manufacturing. It looks dark and gives you privacy but it does nothing for heat and next to nothing for UV. So the rear of your truck looks handled while the two windows you sit next to are doing no work at all.
That is why a lot of Prior Lake jobs are just the front two in ceramic. It puts real film where the sun reaches you and the driver, it matches the factory look front to back, and you aren’t paying to tint glass that already looks dark.
Three things film is genuinely good for, and why they matter here.
Six hours in a lot with no shade is the standard summer Saturday around here. Ceramic and nano ceramic cut the infrared that heats the cabin, so getting back in isn’t a shock.
Factory smoked rear glass already handles the look. Real film on the front two is what handles the heat and the UV where you and your passenger are sitting.
Prior Lake in February is a wide open sheet of white with the sun sitting low over it. That glare is worse than anything summer throws at you, and film takes a real bite out of it.
Same pricing for every city we serve, no travel markup. Pick the film, then how many windows.
The look, at the best price. Deep black, color stable, won’t fade purple on you. Least heat rejection of the three, so this one is about appearance and privacy.
This is where you feel the difference. Real heat rejection on a hot day, strong UV protection, and no interference with your phone or GPS. Even in a lighter shade it outperforms a cheap dark film.
The best film we carry. Highest heat rejection, best UV protection, and the clearest view of the three. If you’re keeping the car a while, this is the one.
Full car pricing already includes the front two, it isn’t an add on.
The windshield is priced separately from the full car. Removal is $25 per window, $50 for the rear glass or windshield. Single window? Call or text for a price.

We are at 5505 W 123rd St, STE 296 in Savage. From most of Prior Lake it is about ten minutes, straight up County Road 21 and over to County Road 42. If you’re coming from the north side of the lake or off 13 it’s closer to eight.
Tint is drop off only. Film needs a clean indoor space to go on right, and a driveway in Prior Lake isn’t that no matter how nice the day is. Front two windows run about an hour and a half to two hours. A full car is about four. Most people drop it, run errands in Savage or Burnsville, and we call when it’s done.
If the car needs more than tint, say so when you ask for the quote. Detailing is the one service that comes to you, so we can tint at the shop and then handle the inside at your place, or you can add a Complete Refresh to the same drop off and pick it up done inside, outside and through the glass.
Minnesota Statute 169.71 sets the floor at 50 percent VLT on side and rear windows, with a three percent tolerance. VLT is how much light gets through, so a lower number means darker film. Separately, film can’t be more than 20 percent reflective, and mirrored or chrome looking film isn’t allowed on any window.
The statute exempts the rear windows of a pickup truck, and on a van the rear windows plus the side windows behind the driver. Those can go darker. The front two are held to 50 percent on every vehicle, with no exception. Sport utility vehicles aren’t named in that exemption, so where yours falls depends on how it’s classified.
Prior Lake sits in Scott County and the same statute applies here as everywhere else in the state. It’s worth knowing where the limits sit before you pick a shade rather than after. There’s a fuller breakdown on our main window tint page.
